From tough losses to big wins, Northwood athletes fought hard and battled through the weekend, giving much to report during the school meeting on Monday.

Here’s a look at how each team performed, with score recaps, standout performances, and notable moments

Prep hockey went to Clarkson for one game and then Saint Lawrence for their next two, Elliot Murch had his first prep goal and Mark Tverskoy had his first Northwood goal.

The U19 soccer team went down to New Jersey and Pennsylvania and went 1-0-1 on the weekend.

Varsity hockey went to Union for two games and went 2-0. Ray Peters scored the game winning goal with 19 seconds left.

The 16U boys hockey team went to Clarkson and Saint Lawrence where they went 1-2 on the weekend.

The U17 soccer team also went down to New Jersey and Pennsylvania and went 1–0-1. Willfredo Reyes-Rivera scored a hattrick.

The Girls hockey team went to Stony creek in Toronto and finished the weekend 3-2. Ryan Erster scored a hattrick (3 goals). Florence Gagnon had her first Northwood shutout. Athena Wilson scored her first Northwood goal.

The majority of the alpine skiers left for Chile on Monday.

NAS climbed rooster comb mountain, a 4 pitch multi pitch with 3 people ( a pitch is a ropes length worth of climbing). The climb was over 7000ft and there was just over 6 miles worth of hiking. This was all completed in a little under 6 hours.

With another weekend of games and competitions wrapped up in the books, Northwood athletes now shift their focus to next week as they continue to build on last weekend and strive for success.
