Casey Morrissey ’27 is a senior in his third year at Northwood. Originally from Skaneateles, New York, Morrissey plays for the prep hockey team under Head Coach Mr. Stephen Mallaro.

Away from school, Morrissey enjoys spending time at the lake, hanging out with friends and listening to music.
One quote he tries to live by is, “Everything happens for a reason.”
Morrissey chose Northwood because it allowed him to pursue his academic and athletic goals.
“It’s a good balance between school and hockey,” Morrissey said.
After his first visit at Northwood he felt comfort and right at home within the Northwood Community.
“My tour was amazing. Everybody I saw was very close and extremely content with their choice. This made me feel right at home,” Morrissey said.
Morrissey believes his experience at Northwood has helped him grow while introducing him to friendships he values.
“Northwood has completely changed me as a person. It has given me friendships that I’ve never even dreamed of having. I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity that has been given to me,” he said.
Morrissey serves as a resident assistant on the second floor of the Main Building and considers himself a leader on the prep hockey team. He wants the best for his teammates and hopes to push them to reach their potential this season.
Goals After Northwood
After graduating from Northwood, Morrissey hopes to take a gap year to play junior hockey in either the United States Hockey League or the North American Hockey League. He then hopes to play NCAA Division I hockey while studying business.
After college, Morrissey plans to work with his father in the real estate industry.
