In the championship game Sunday morning, it was a rematch between Selects Academy and Northwood. Early goals from Wyatt Wilmshurst, Simon Morberg (Forward, 2017), and Gustav Arfelt (Forward, 2017) put the Huskies up 3-0. They would not relinquish the lead and Nick Ormon (Defense, 2017) added a late goal on a 5 on 3 for a 4-0 victory. Matt Petizian (2017) recorded the shutout in net.

Head Coach Chadd Cassidy was pleased with his team’s performance. “This was a big weekend for our team,” Cassidy said. “As a coaching staff we were impressed with how sharp our team was after not playing for over 3 weeks. To go through the weekend winning all 4 games says a lot about the determination of our group.”

Next up for the Huskies is Shattuck St. Mary’s in the Northwood Invitational Showcase on 1/13 at 5pm.
