The Northwood Prep hockey team traveled to Walpole, MA last weekend. The team played two games and won both. In the first game, Cisco Delliquadri ‘20 scored two goals and , Sutton Allard ‘19, Carson Hall ‘22, and Alex Ray ‘19 each scored one. Kyle Bavis ‘19 had a shutout in net. Walpole Express only had 11 players that could attend because their high school had a game during the same time. Northwood greatly outshot their tired opponents and won 5-0.
In the second game, Northwood played similarly. Five players scored goals and Wyatt Friedlander stopped all shots in net. Goals were scored by Tristan Allard ‘20 (2), Aleksei Rutkovski ‘19, Alex Ray ‘19, Trevor Souza ‘19, and John Biechler ‘19. Walpole had more players for this game, but they couldn’t handle Northwood’s strength. Northwood outshot their opponents 84 to 16 for a successful weekend, scoring 11 goals, giving up none, and finishing undefeated.
The team will come back from break early to face Selects Academy and Virtua Hockey Club February 22 and 23.
