What Northwood Students Did on Their Vacation

The Mirror sent senior Wyatt Friedlander to the living room to interview students about what they did during the recent vacation. Here’s what he learned.

Senior Francisco Castillo (back right) spent the break with Junior Devon Jolley (at the steering wheel). The spent some of their vacation in Florida.

“For Break my roomate Fran came home to Massena with me and spent Christmas with my family,” said Devin Jolley ‘20. “I taught Fran how to skate, which went a lot faster than I expected. He was skating around the first day. After Christmas we went down to Florida for a week where Fran proved to me how bad I am at golf. We also went to the beach a couple times which was nice. We then came back to Massena for a few more days, played hockey and finally came back to school.”

“I want to Delaware for five days to stay at my Aunt and Uncle’s and to be with the rest of my family on Christmas,” said Michel Leone ‘20. “We went to Bethany Beach and walked around the boardwalk. My family and I then went home to Rochester after our time in Delaware. I hung out with friends I hadn’t seen in quite some time and was able to get my drivers licence! I also went to watch my old hockey team play before I left for school.”

“I went to New York City for a couple days with family and friends,” said Karli Lafferty ‘19. “Then I went home and had a great Christmas in my home town Cape May. I hung by the beach with friends and after Christmas I went to the Poconos to an outdoor water park and skied.”

“I had a great break with family and friends,” said Trevor Souza ‘19. “I hung out with family around Christmas. I skated a bunch on New Years and went to my neighbors’ house to celebrate. I had nice food at home and it was unreal.”

“Over my winter break, I spent a lot of my time resting and getting ready for the next stretch of the [hockey] season,” said Cian Murphy ‘22. “I also helped coach a hockey camp run by the Chazy Flyers youth hockey.”

“Over winter break I traveled to Paris,” said Blaise Clary ‘20. “I saw a lot of different landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe. I also got to hang out with friends and train for hockey.”

“I went back home to Guatemala and spent time with my family,” said Lucas Farias ‘20. “I hung out with friends and went to parties. From 28th to the 2nd I went to the beach with friends. I also got my drivers licence.”

“I played pond hockey almost every day,” said Lucas Klemm ‘22. “I hung out with family all break. I played video games with friends. I walked and played with my dog and cat and watched a lot of movies.”
