The first game was against Rice Prep with lots of opportunities for the Huskies. Despite not scoring in the first period, the Huskies had many scoring chances and dominated play. In the second, Mackenzie Hull (Forward, 2020) scored the lone Husky goal off assists from Hadley Swedlund (Forward, 2020) and Maggie Macneil (Defense, 2020) putting the Huskies up 1-0. Emilie Venne (Goaltender, 2020) saved all 31 shots on net recording the shutout.

Later that evening the Huskies faced off against Hoosac School, another NAPHA opponent. Right from the start, the Huskies dominated and took control of the game with many shots on net. In the first Hull scored putting the Huskies up 1-0. In the second, Aimee Headland (Forward, 2019), Miranda Bookman (Forward, 2020), Hull, Ella Fesette (Forward, 2021) and Iliana Smith (Forward, 2022) all scored goals to put the Huskies up 6-0 after two. In the third, Fesette added her second of the game, Marina Alvarez (Defense, 2021) added one and Paige Melicant (Forward, 2022) scored her first Northwood goal. The Huskies took the win 9-0 and Courtney Fairchild ‘20 (Goaltender) recorded the shutout in net.

The next morning the Huskies played another game against Hoosac School with the same fierce energy they played with the previous evening. In the first, Alvarez scored her second of the weekend with a top-shelf snipe to start the scoring for the Huskies. In the second period, Bookman scored on the power play and Alvarez added her second of the game taking the lead to 3-0 for the Huskies. Later in the second, Swedlund and Headland added goals to make the score 5-0 in favor of the Huskies. In the final stanza, Swedlund scored her second of the game and Alvarez netted her third goal of the game and her first Northwood hat trick. The Huskies took the win 7-0 and Rachel Hinkley (Goaltender, 2021) recorded a shutout.
