Top College Soccer Coaches Coming to Northwood for Winter Showcase

Soccer coaches from Notre Dame, Yale, Syracuse, Dartmouth, and many more top collegiate soccer programs will be evaluating U17 and U19 soccer talent at Northwood School this weekend. On Saturday and Sunday (December 15-16), Northwood School will be hosting the Black Rock FC Winter Tournament & Showcase at Northwood School’s Indoor Turf Facility.

The tournament’s format will be 6 v 6 format with six teams in the U17 field and six teams in the U19 field. Each team will play a total of five group games (25 minutes each), and one placement game (1st, 3rd, or 5th) over the course of the two days.

With scouts from some of the nation’s top Division I and III colleges attending, this event will be a major opportunity for youth club coaches to show off their elite players, and for uncommitted seniors to get a late opportunity to present themselves to schools looking for good student-athletes.

Games will take place from 9am – 5pm both days. A panel of top college coaches will take place on Saturday at 6pm in the auditorium. Aspiring college soccer players and their parents can learn more about the recruiting process and ask questions.

Colleges that have confirmed their attendance at the showcase include:

  • Brandeis University
  • Carleton College
  • Colby College
  • Connecticut College
  • Colgate University
  • Dartmouth College
  • Hobart College
  • Kenyon College
  • Marist College
