16U Drops 2 to Strong Selects Academy Team

(November 18-19, 2016) The 16u team had a rough weekend against a very strong Selects Academy 16u team. In the first game the Huskies fell 9-1 with Sean Bunting (forward, 2019)  scoring the lone goal, and dropped the second game 6-2 with Pat Callahan (forward, 2018) and Johnny Biechler (forward, 2019) finding the back of the net. Coach Gilligan said, “Night one, we came out flat and paid for it.  We did not play confidently and it affected our execution. Game two was a better mindset, resulting in more chances of our own, but still we’re not good enough defending giving up 6 goals. It was a great learning experience for our group and will help us in the long run.  We hope to see them again at some point this season. “
