The Blue Key Society at Northwood is a unique aspect of the admission process that both prospective and current students experience at Northwood School. This program helps prospective students and their families become familiar to the student life at Northwood and helps them learn where everything is on campus via a personal tour led by a student.

The Blue Key Society is highly informative for prospective students and their families and a terrific opportunity for returning students to practice leadership skills. Admission Office Assistant Ms. Elenor Mandigo oversees the Blue Key Society and has a few positive thoughts to share about this association. “The students who give the tours represent the school, and it shows the students who are visiting Northwood what it’s all about, making them the best people for the society.” Mrs. Mandigo captures exactly what Northwood students strive for when running these tours with the Blue Key Association.

The Blue Key Society begins in September and concludes in April, spanning the entire school year. This year, approximately 50 students signed up to be tour guides for the Blue Key Society, and each student can conduct anywhere from one tour to ten tours per year. The students participating in the Blue Key Society are all fantastic ambassadors for Northwood School, bringing in many new students every year.

Everyone who applies for a role in the Blue Key Society wants to bring in new, ambitious students. The goal of this organization is to make visitors feel welcome at the school and want to be part of a special community like Northwood. That is what makes the Blue Key Society a notable feature of the admission process at Northwood.
