As the game went on, the Huskies got stronger. They netted 4 more goals to extend the lead to 6-0. Kendall Dubin (Forward, 2018) added two, Kendrick added her second of the game, and Kylie Kroes (Forward, 2018) added one to complete the win. The girls outshot Hoosac 22-13. A few hours later, the girls were back at it, facing off against the league opponents again. The girls started the game at a slower pace as Keeley Rose (Forward, 2018) scored the lone goal in the first period, on the power play. Hoosac responded in the beginning of the second with a breakaway goal. With the game tied at 1, the Huskies began pressing offensively. From then, Kendrick added two, Keeley Rose added her second of the game, and Miranda Bookman (Forward, 2020) scored to extend the lead to 5-1. Despite being outshot 24-8, Hoosac didn’t retreat and they netted one more before the end of the game. In the final seconds Sierra Benjamin (Defense, 2018) drove the ice end-to-end to score five hole and propel the Huskies’ to a 6-2 win. Courtney Fairchild (Goalie, 2020) earned the win in net.

With this weekend’s wins, the Huskies move to 17-5-3 on the season. Next weekend  the girls will travel to Cushing Academy in Ashburnham, MA to compete in the annual Cushing Invitational Tournament.
